Love Hate Holiday ~ Chapter 9

I sat up and turned around, 's arms still wrapped around my waist, and saw 's eyes which brimmed with tears. He had some flowers in one of his hands, but he stood lifeless, just staring at me which gave me an awful feeling of guilt shoot me through my heart.
"... I..." I stuttered, but he dropped the flowers on the sand and walked off. I looked back at , and he was also sat up, holding his head in his hands.
"I've messed everything up again," a muffed voice came from beneath his hair and hands. I leaned into him and cuddled him, stroking his hair.
"It's not your fault, . We can't help how we feel," I whispered into his ear, and he took his hands away from his face and slid his fingers around my waist and rested them on my back. We cuddled for around ten minutes before letting go.
"Do you think we should go back to the hotel?" I asked him, looking into his eyes.
"Yeah, I guess we better face the music," he smiled at me, before we got up and he slipped his hand into mine.
I opened the apartment door with my spare hand and then closed it gently behind him. came and stepped in front of us.
"You don't know where is, do you?" he looked from then to me.
"Err..." looked at me, and I nodded, "the last time I saw him was on the beach. He saw... me and ," looked at his shoes. I saw on the sofa, looking out of the window.
"You go look for ... please ?" I smiled at him and he hesitated before giving me a hug and walked back out of the door where and followed. I walked over to the sofa, ", do you think we could talk?"
Her face looked disgusted, but she saw my serious face, and patted the spare place next to her. I sat down, and she suddenly wrapped her arms around me and squeezed me. "Oh , what are you doing? You're acting so stupid," she cried.
", I know what I'm doing, and I'm not just playing with everyone. You probably wouldn't believe the truth if I told you," I sighed, sitting back up and glancing at the ring that was still on my finger.
"Who bought you that?" she frowned, noticing the sparking on my finger.
"I don't think anyone's sure. probably bought it, but he doesn't remember," I laughed at how weird it sounded.
"Come on, who bought it you? It looks expensive. You've got it on the wrong finger though," she laughed too.
"I'm not joking, we don't know. Do you remember where we went after the club last night?" I asked. frowned.
"Nope. I remember you and were laughing on the bar stools, nearly falling off them cause you were both drunk. We left you after that cause we were tired, and you said you were going to go to some other places and that you'd make your own way back, why?"
"It's just, neither of us remember that... and when we woke up this morning, we both didn't know how we ended up there... or how we ended up getting married," I sighed.
"Oh for God's sake! I thought you were going to actually talk about this seriously, not make up stupid stories. I'm not fooling around, - and you and shouldn't be either. You're playing with people's emotions," she looked really angry with me, so I grabbed her wrist and dragged her into the bedroom.
"Look - our wedding certificate. This is REAL. Look it has all our details - everything. , I swear I am not joking," I shoved the certificate at her, and she looked shocked as I sat on the bed and cried. She sat next to me and hugged me.
"Oh ... I don't know what to say... but you and ? I thought you really liked ?" she sounded confused.
"I did, but I didn't like him as much as ... I've never liked anyone as much as . He just seems so perfect. Every time I was with , I felt like it was all wrong and that it should have been . And today when we were at the beach... he told me he thought I was the one."
"Really?" asked and I nodded. "I'm so sorry I've been acting up all day. I guess I just had to know how you feel to actually understand," she smiled and I hugged her. Then we heard the front door open.
